The WWE Network: A Story of Greatness?

The WWE Network launched worldwide in the summer of 2014. Since then tons of new content has been added, a quick and helpful support has been installed and countless international commentator-teams help foreign viewers to understand the product. It seems like the WWE Network has everything and more to offer. The land of milk and honey for every wrestling fan. But still the WWE Network has room the improve. Now, just before WrestleMania, a lot of people will take advantage of their first free month trial and therefore the Network is going to generate more subscriptions than usual. But how can WWE keep them after the Grand Daddy of them All? The massive libary and original content does not seem to be enough, so what can WWE do?

1) Fix Autoplay

One of the younger options on the Network is the Playlist Function that works like YouTube's 'Autoplay'. The idea: After you finished one video the system plays the next one - related to the previous content you've been watching. But in reality, especially on PS4, Amazon and Xbox One Systems, the Autoplay is not working. The new video starts in the middle of the action and not at the beginning. A lot of fans have complained about this issue, which makes the option useless. WWE should finally work on this problem which has been there for over a year now.

2) Bring RAW, SmackDown & Main Event to the Network

Probably the biggest complaint by fans. One has to wait 30 days (or 14 days in the case of Main Event) for the current episode to be uploaded. This is due to television deals worldwide. But since this is the most frequently asked question about the Network, WWE should try to work something out with their television partners in ordner to make fans interested again.

3) Bring Movies

WWE Studios has huge libary of Movies featuring their very own superstars. It is a miracle to me that none of them found it's way on the Network already.

4) Fix the Spoilers on the App

Everyone who watches the WWE Network on their phone has expierenced this: You open the WWE App but before you can tap 'WWE Network' the app loads the News-Page which often contains massive spoilers for the content you are about to watch like NXT, 205live or PPVs. Let people choose where they want to go before loading the news.

5) Provide a new guide to subscription

Explain the Network and the FAQ to everyone. Since the WWE's targets a younger audience, a lot of parents who did not grow up in the day and age of the internet are still confused with the concept. WWE should shoot new guiding videos in multiple languages that answer all of the frequently asked questions.

6) Ask People What they Want

Recently WWE did a survey with the current Network Subscribers that asked a lot of mind-blowing question. For example WWE asked if we are interested in TNA/Impact Wrestling content on the Network. But maybe you should ask that to people who haven't subscriped to the Network already.

7) YouTube NETWORK!

WWE keeps uploading full and new matches to their YouTube Channel each week. But why should one subscribe to the Network, if they are going to get it for free anyway?

8) A New Promoting Strategy

After 2015 the promotion of the WWE Network went down. WWE should target the mainstream-audience. Launched a new campaign with commercials across the US and the internet. You've got Dwayne The Rock Johnson on your good side. Why doesn't he have WWE Network Muscle-Shirt?
