Where are the Colons?

Between Primo and Cartito there are two WWE Tag Team Championship Reigns and one Unified Tag Team Championship Reign. Between Epico and Primo there is a WWE Tag Team Championship reign. Primo has been in the WWE for eleven years. His brother has worked for the WWE until 2010 and Epico, the cousin of Primo, has worked for the WWE since 2010. The Colons are part of the family of legendary Puerto Rican wrestler Carlos Colon, who is also a WWE Hall of Fame.
There is a rumour that Carlos and Vince McMahon have handshake deal, that is family can work for the WWE aslong as they want, too. But this might not be true.
The Colons have lasted for a long time in the WWE, but there have been more downs than ups.

So where are the Colons? 
Primo & Epico have a SmackDown Contract and Primo suffered a knee injury in June 2017. Since then nothing has been heard or seen of them.  Before that just a few things happened. They lost the WWE Tag Titles in 2012(!), became 'Los Matadores', one of the most ridiculous gimmicks ever, until became the Shining Stars on RAW. This also did not work so they became The ruthless Colons they should have been from day one. But then the injury happened and WWE forgot about the team.
Carlito does not have a WWE contract and neither WWE nor him seem to be interested. But: The Colons never got a serious gimmick and they never even got a proper feud in WWE. Something that would make people care. The only way to make people care is to bring back Carlito to make is a three men stable. Carlito is a former United States Champion and Intercontinental Champion and somebody people do remember. In order to find the Colons WWE has to let them be themselves, just like the Usos has been allowed to be themselves and to make people look, they need the skills of Carlito. The alternative can only be a one-way ticket to Puerto Rico, which would be really really sad.
