Who attacked Aleister Black?
In the build up to NXT Takeover Brooklyn 4 Aleister suffered a legitimate injury, which caused him his rematch for the NXT Championship. On NXT TV the audience was told, that someone attacked Black in the NXT parking lot. Numerous videos were released, that saw almost every NXT Superstar around when the attack happened. NXT General Manager William Regal started an investigation two weeks after attacked, claiming EVERY Superstars had to undergo a number of question. While Regal is driven to find the true identity of the attacker, i would like to look at the stongest suspects in this case. Who do you think attacked Aleister Black?
No. 1 will be, who think, is most likely the attacker of Black.
7. Velveteen Dream
While the Dream loves the attention and has a history with Black, there is currently no reason for The Dream to attack Black. Also, if there is anyone on the NXT roster that The Dream respects, it has to be Aleister Black, as he has to thank him for everything he has got now.
6. Kassius Ohno
Kassius Ohno as the potential attacker has not been discussed much, but his career on NXT TV is not on an upisde currently. Everytime he finally gets a match on NXT, he works as a mean and vicious man on a mission. Could we bee seeing Elbow vs. Heel very soon?
5. The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O' Reilly and Roderick Strong) (NXT Tag Team Champions)
On the scene they were seen driving off with a car as fast as they could, but i think is not that likely for the Era to attack black. First of all the group attack must have been heard around the parking lot mor than a single attack from behind, but there is more. At the time all of the UE were Champions and in their characters, they seemed pretty satisfied at the top. There is no real reason to attack another champion they had nothing to with. On the other hand, all they wanna do it cause chaos.
4. The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake & Jaxson Ryker)
The Forgotten Sons have never been seen on TV before the attack. So if they happen to be the attackers, if worked out well for them. The Sons have been interviewed by Regal already, who does not seem to believe their excuse, that they were on their way to his office, thus having no time to attack someone. With the publicity on their side, the Forgotten Sons are no longer Forgotten and the attack would have worked out perfectly. No the last time we heard from them for sure.
3. Tommaso Ciampa (NXT Champion)
He beat Black for the title and was set to defend the championship against Black (and Gargano) at NXT Takeover Brooklyn 4. An attack like that goes well with the attitude of Ciampa. It would make complete sense and because of that, he only makes No. 3 because it is to obvious.
2. Johnny Gargano
When asked by William Regal if he attacked Black he did not give a definitive answer. The old Johnny Wrestling would not have done it, but ever since Ciampa turned on him, something has changed. Also Gargano was layed out by Black after he (unintentionally) caused Black the title, maybe the 'dark side' of Gargano seeked revenge on Black. Right now he is a very strong suspect.
1. Lars Sullivan
For it is clear as day, that it was Sullivan. When we last saw Sullivan when lost against Black in an NXT Championship match. In that match Lars' jaw was crushed by the Black Mass. He was seen very close to Black after the attack, walking away. EC3 also said it had to be Lars, only to be attacked by Lars in the same way Sullivan attacked Black. Case closed!?
