Why it is not hard to forget about the midcard

Everyone that willingly gave away his e-mail-adress to the WWE knows that WWE has changed their PPV calenders of 2018: Less Pay-Per-Views and every remaining show is now is a dual-brand Pay-Per-View.
What we don't know how all the talent will fit in. It is speculated that WWE will add an extra hour to every show. But is that necessary?

Not every talent has to be on every show. WWE2K18 Universe Mode players know: You've only got 7 Match slots at a Pay-Per-View. You need to work around that and so should WWE.
WWE has four weekly shows on the Main Roster. FOUR. Seven hours to further storylines. No need to use the Pay-Per-View for all of them. Let feud culminate on SmackDown or RAW episodes. This might even push the ratings. 205live already operates as a place where the Cruiserweights can further their stories. The rest of the talent can use the other Network show: WWE Main Event. Yes, Main Event is still there. Used mainly for international broadcast and RAW Recaps the show is way past it's prime. WWE Network Subscribers find the show with a two-week delay on the Network to no appeal what so ever. Why isn't WWE taking WWE Main Event and is using it to give their Midcard Talent more time shine? Make it air weekly again on the WWE Network with two or three matches that involve current storylines. In addition to that the RAW Recap nobody needs in the age of WWE on YouTube can be scratched for some promos by the WWE Superstar that needs our attention that week.
WWE needs to start to push their weekly broadcast. A 5 to 6 hour Pay-Per-View (including Main Show and Pre-Show) is just to long.
WWE already has all the tools to push almost all their talent, yet they believe adding another hour is what you have to do. WWE has to utilize what is given in a better way.  That is the answer. I hope they see it that way.
