WWE Royal Rumble 2019: My Thoughts & Results

There are my personal thought on WWE Royal Rumble 2019 from last night.

 Legend:
■ Bad■ Neutral■ Good

Kickoff:

1. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable def. Scott Dawson & Rezar
In a random
unannounced Tag Team match Rezar and Dawson had the chance to win a title shot for their respective teams AOP and Revival. Not the best match.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura def. Rusev(c) for the United States Title (Titlechange)
A well worked match with a shocking title change. I predict this titlereign of Nakamura won't last long.

3. Buddy Murphy(c) def. Akira Tozawa, Hideo Itami and Kalisto for the Cruiserweight Title
Awesome match to see with the right winner, i am shocked that Murphy pinned Itami, because he seemd it toughest challenge in the match. I hope Murphy can now go on to a big time feud.

Main-Show:

4. Asuka(c) def. Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women's Title
One of the best Women's Matches in WWE. Brutal, technical brilliance and pure emotion. Nobody was willing to give up, pushing them into locking in the submission moves of the other. Awesome stuff.

5. Shane McMahon & The Miz def. The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro)(c) for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles(c)
The Shooting Star press by Shane McMahon was impressive. The rest, well, not so much. What a Tag Team these two are. Weird.

6. Ronda Rousey(c) def. Sasha Banks for the RAW Women's Title
You can't say anything bad. One the same level as the SmackDown Womens Title. The Women's Title outshined the men's cleary. Awesome to watch, unbelievable skill by both women.

7. Becky Lynch wins the Women's Royal Rumble Match
This year WWE banked on the future and not on nostalgia and it worked. Lana had to be stopped from working the match due to injury and it was Finlay, who allowed Becky Lynch to take her place to an incredible ovation. Becky Balboa is going to WrestleMania.

8. Daniel Bryan(c) def. AJ Styles for the WWE Title
A returning Erick Rowan surprisingly helped Daniel Bryan to win the match. Unfortunatley the crowd was exhausted after the first Rumble and therefore nobody got reactions. The match was good anyway.

9. Brock Lesnar(c) def. Finn Balor for the Universal Title
Balor handed it to Lesnar. A brutal effort by the Balor Club Leader. Maybe he shold have gone to the Demon, he came very close the beating the beast and it was awesome to see.

10. Seth Rollins wins the Men's Royal Rumble Match
Jeff Jarrett was the only nostalgia act here, coming in at No.2. Nia Jax entered the Rumble after beating down R-truth and yes, she is a woman also competed in the Women's Rumble. Very odd indeed, especially when Orton and Mysterio started beating her down. At the end of the day Rollins won against all odds.

If i ignore that the show was, and that is not really WWE's fault, pretty predictable and the inclusion if Nia Jax was unnecessary in my eyes, they put on a fun entertaining show. I could have dealt with atleast one more shocker in the Royal Rumble, but i got Curt Hawkins so im pretty happy. Well done WWE.
