Have you ever wondered where AEW's Angelico is these days?

If you have been following All Elite Wrestling since their inception in 2019 you might remember the charismatic high-flyer from South Africa.

Before he joined the promotion he was a regular on the worldwide indy-scene and a celebrated performer, that won multiple championships in GWF, wXw, AAA, and Lucha Underground.

After 4 years in AEW, Angelico has won zero.

Angelico, alongside Jack Evans, featured on the very first show AEW ever had: AEW Double or Nothing 2019. He and his tag team partner lost to Chuck Taylor and Trent during the event.

The team known as "The Hybrid2" wrestled on various AEW shows including Dynamite, Rampage, and Dark. Even on the latter show, they often finished their matches in a losing effort.

Including a rare championship match during Chris Jericho's 30th Anniversary Celebration on AEW Dynamite in 2020, where they lost against the defending champions FTR.

Angelico unfortunatley got injured with a torn ACL at the end of 2021 but returned just a couple of months later.

Since then nothing of note really happened in their career until Jack Evans announced that his contract would not be renewed in April 2022.

This left Angelico all alone and he continued to spend most of his time wrestling on AEW Dark, outside of the television and PPV events.

In December 2022 he formed a new stable when he joined Luther and Serpentico in their Tag Team to become "Spanish Announce Project". The trio was unsuccessful in their Battle Royal opportunity to become No.1 Contenders to the AEW Trios Championships.

The team can usually be found wrestling behind a paywall on Ring of Honor's Honor Club.

Their last television appearance so far came in June 2023, when they lost The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn on AEW Rampage.

Not to offend Luther and Serpentico, but Angelico seems to be the most gifted of the trio. Yet he is not used to the best of his abilities and at a time when AEW has more television and PPV hours to offer than ever before, that is hard to understand.

On top of that, they even have a championship, the AEW International Championship, that seems perfect for the man from South Africa.
