BLUM. - A Story From Purity To Depravity In Wrestling
Four years ago, when Elijah Blum first stepped into a wrestling ring, he did not make the biggest of waves.
However, he quickly managed to become a fixture on the German independent scene anyway, because he believed in himself and he was determined to make everyone believe him who paid attention.
Rather quickly Blum achieved that. Not just with determination but with an exceptional seriousness and focus directed to his craft of professional wrestling.
Most of the time Blum appeared somewhere in the middle of the card. Not unnoticed, but not in the main focus. But Blum remained in touch. Blum came back. Blum built a house, brick by brick. Knowing, that his time is going to come.
Elijah Blum had one foundation for his house. That foundation was going to be purity. The purity in not pushing yourself front and centre, being friendly and kind to everyone and standing up for what is right. This led to many...many tag team matches, against Amboss, High Performer Ltd. and other dark forces that tried to take down the walls of positiveness in wXw.
This resulted in him winning the wXw Shotgun Championship in 2023, when the crowd finally started to gather behind him, coining his nickname "Schnurrbartmann" (moustache man).
Blum stood side by side with greats and/or competed in incredible contests against YOICHI, Masato Tanaka, Robert Dreissker, LSG, Jonathan Gresham and Francesco Akira. Just to name a few.
But as he gained traction in his business, he learned a lesson. Not everyone stays positive forever. When he lost his great tag team partner Anil Marik to the evil faction "High Performer Ltd." it did not just take a physical toll on him.
From that day on, Blum was wrestling with a heavier heart.
His mindset changed. While success certainly would still play a role, Blum wanted to make sure he got gratification. Gratification for doing things the right way. Gratification for prooving to himself, to the fans and to those who left him behind for money & fame, that his way is the right way - gratification for showing them all that he is in the right and that he can make this work.
And so, unseen by most, Blum changed. On the outside, he was still very much the same guy, but on the inside, it was a different story.

On that day the man that started out with him. The man that, unlike so many other, Blum could trust to the end of the world: Peter Tihanyi turned on him. Just like Anil Mark, Tihanyi cashed in on the High Performer Ltd. to win the wXw Shortcut To The Top which later let him to become wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion. Peter Tihanyi was on the top of the world. But at what cost?
It was at that very moment in the summer of 2024 that Blum went from pure to depravity.
He swore to make an example out of Peter Tihanyi, because he realised he won't get him back. Blum is ready to forge his own path in wrestling. Instead of accepting that sooner or later everyone is gonna turn on you in wrestling, Blum said: "Dare me" to everyone even thinking about double-crossing him ever again.
After facing a suspension for wXw for violating several rules to get to Tihanyi, he was offered to pay 1000 Euros in cash to avoid suspension.
The path Blum had chosen was dark and he opted to not pay the fine and sit out his suspension...at least for a while.
Eventually, Blum returned. Money in hand and ready to take on the world to teach Peter Tihanyi the ultimate lesson.
At wXw Back to the Roots, he finally did just that. After all the humiliation he had suffered at the hands of Peter Tihanyi and High Performer Ltd. he destroyed Tihanyi in the infamous wXw "Käfigschlacht" and vowed to take the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship from him at the biggest stage: wXw 16 Carat Gold 2025.
The personal growth, all while keeping his very own morals in exceptional and made Blum blossom into a top star in wXw.
He is not pure anymore, but totally depraved - the Elijah Blum way.
