Founded in 2000 Westside Xtreme Wrestling is Germany's Top Wrestling Promotion. The promotion where NXT Stars like Aleister Black, Alexander Wolfe and Marcel Bartel were able to gain the exposure they needed to get noticed by the WWE is more than just a stepping stone for continental europe, it's the hottest wrestling product!
Let me run you through everything WXW offers for their fans and why you should keep an eye on them in the future, because they love wrestling just as much as you do!
An Incredible Talent Pool
WXW is well aware that at every given moment one of their top stars could be gone. May it be because they left for another promotion or just wanted to/had to take a step back from wrestling as a whole, WXW is always making sure the have full and compelling card for their fans. Wether it be on their small shows or on their big marquee events, WXW always pushes for more.

WXW quickly realised that a pure german promotion won't be enough and so fly-ins from all over the world are a regular theme in Germany's most succesful promotion. But while adding the biggest indy-wrestling stars for their marquee events they also invest in new talent. Their Wrestling Acedemy (formely known as the Westside Dojo) with Head Trainer Walter offers everything a young wrestler could dream of. Intensive and informative training, occasional sessions with the biggest stars of the business and even apartments for longer visits.

In addition to the Westside Xtreme Wrestling recently began investing in their women's roster. Holding an annual Femme Fatal event souly commited to women's wrestling. In addition to that WXW has now introduced a Women's Championship and works tightly with incredible talents like Toni Storm to boost their division.
Xtreme Fan Connection
The promotion was always known to do everything to keep the fans as close to the action as it gets. If the venue allows it fans are allowed to stand directly in front of the apron, as tight to the action as it gets. Through Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and even via e-mail WXW is always reachable for fans and incredibly quick to answer. WXW welcomes feedback like an old friend. In addition to that every Monday WXW's YouTube Channel sees a weekly FAQ segment with the companie's managing director Christian Michael Jakobi called askcmj which allows fans to ask absolutley everything wrestling.
Marquee Events
WXW calls their big events, known as Pay-Per-Views in WWE, their 'Marquee Events'. Currently WXW lists 10 Marquee Events per year. Most notable are the World Tag Team League which is a tournament that showcases the greatest Tag Teams of the world, Shortcut To The Top which is WXW's version of the Royal Rumble, Anniversay which is one their hottest shows of the year in held in December and most importantly: 16 Carat Gold. A 3 Day Wrestling Extravaganza and WXW's biggest annual event. The tournament hosts the biggest stars if the indy-wrestling-scene and features the best matches you will see all year. Fans travel from all accross the globe to see this.
The promotion offers a unique three-day-trip with Meet & Greets, a Fan Expo and an Aftershow Party. Most recently WXW was able to land the likes of Christopher Daniels, Tanille Dashwood (Emma) and Rich Swann for their 16 Carat Gold show in March 2018.
WXW NOW
For 9,99 a month WXW offers WXW NOW. A streaming service hosted over Vimeo which gives you everything and more around WXW. In addition their incredible stock of hundreds of hours filled with awesome wrestling, they also intoduced unique shows like Shotgun a recap of the WXW week, Roundtable an interesting interview segment and the newly introduced Spieleabend which is a Game Show but with wrestlers as it's candidates.
WXW has hired an english commentary team to cover the international fanbase and also is using subtitles to help everyone not from Germany to enjoy the show.
Things I Like
My favourite wrestler in WXW: Jurn Simmons. After Karsten Beck, who is my hometown hero, was not able to compete anymore, he passed the torch to Jurn. The Massive One is the total package. Power, Technique, Character and Micwork make him an absolute superstar. The dutch Marquee Player is already a two-time WXW Unified World Wrestling Champion and sky is the limit for him.
My favourite show & match: WXW is such a great wrestling product, that my favourite show and match is constantly changing. Currenlty i recommend their 17th Anniversary Show. The feeling and the crowd, back to back great wrestling and matches and the emotional highlights of Karsten Beck's Hall of Fame speach and Ilja Dragunov's/John Klinger's bone-chilling performance still have me gasping.
The crowd. The WXW crowd is ALWAYS hot. From Borken to Oberhausen to Hamburg to London. WXW's crowd are always loud and wild. You need to expierence it for yourself. It's another layer to any already great show.
