Drew McIntyre grew up as brave man from Ayr, Scotland. Nothing could stop him, but this mind-set made him blind and stopped him during his highest of highs. Now he is back and he is back with a vengance, with a body like a greek god and a mind like Albert Einstein he is the ultimate prospect on WWE's roster. Let's take a quick look on his career take a glimpse into the future of the man they will one day call "Champion".

Six Years of Rising to the Top

Then known as Drew Galloway, the young gentlemen caught the attention of the big players in the business shockingly soon and stepped into the ring the likes of Honky Tonk Man, Marty Janetty and Mick Foley around 2005. It was at the time Drew became friends with Sheamus O' Shaunessey and Stu Bennett, who could later go on as "Sheamus" and "Wade Barrett" in the WWE. He became the first ever ICW World Heavyweight Champion in 2006. Drew was a thunderstorm craving the be heard and he was: In 2007 he got the call by WWE.

Domination is an Understatement

Everbody in Florida Championship Wrestling, then the Development Center for WWE, was no match for big Drew. The tall Scott outlasted everybody and also held the Florida Heavyweight Championship.
This caught the attention of Vince McMahon himself, who wanted Drew McIntyre on the Main Roster as quick as possible. He even personally welcomed him on the SmackDown brand.
From this day Drew McIntyre was known as the Chosen One! But it turned out the be more of a bourdain for Drew because he was not the unstoppable force anymore, as he was turned into a company man. Others did the work for him. He became the typical WWE heel: A coward who did not appear as the threat. Everything was handed to him. That way he won the Intercontinental Title and got a spot in the WrestleMania Money in the Bank Ladder after numerous failures to qualify before.
That booking cost McIntyre a lot of momentum and Theodore Long, then the General Manager of SmackDown, was not happy with him either. But since Vince McMahon is the boss of long everything Teddy did to stop Drew was turned back in McIntyre's favour. But Drew failed Vince McMahon in kayfabe and in real life somehwere around that time, when Kofi Kingston pinned McIntyre for the IC Title and his push to the top suddenly stopped.

The Fall begins

After Vince McMahon's downfall at the hands of the Nexus in 2010, McIntyre almost hit rock bottom in WWE. But the WWE gave him one more chance. At the time the Tag Team Championships were in a catastrophic state and Drew and "Dashing" Cody Rhodes were put together to solve this problem. At Night of Champions they won the Tag Titles in a Tag Team Tumoil.
They lost the titles to the Nexus unceremoniously a couple of months later. A losing streak began, Drew McIntyre was put into minor storylines and almost was forgotten about.
In September 2012 began to gain attention again when he, Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater joined forces to become '3MB'. The faction gained some momentum, but WWE gain lost interest. But 3MB was always perfect for matches against The Shield or beatdowns from Brock Lesnar. They also made very funny comedy-segments work, especially in their storyline against Los Matadores, where Hornswoggle joined the team to fight El Torito in a WeeLC Match.
In a, still very shocking, announcement Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal both were released from the WWE on June 12th 2014, a date that changed Drew forever.
In an unfortunate manner he also lost his mother during his WWE tendure back in 2012. He also got divorced from his wife, Taryn Terell (aka Tiffany in WWE).

A phenomenal Rise

Drew lost his job and hit rock-bottom. But Drew McIntyre decided wasn't put on this planet to cry, he was driven to make it work again. He promised to make it work and what followed was the biggest comeback story of the industry to date.
He claimed gold back in ICW and even on Impact Wrestling and later on WCPW. Drew completley changed his appearance and build a body simular to a statue. He also improved his skills to such a degree he became one of the, if not the biggest draw in indy-wrestling.
WWE once again became interested in Drew and his comeback story.
In April 2017 Drew returned to the WWE, this time to their NXT brand. He quickly won the NXT Title which he later lost the Andrade Cien Almas - a match he was injured in.
His two 3MB brothers in Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater also made a comeback. Jinder was signed by the WWE to gain a deeper roster on their RAW brand. But as soon as Jinder got to SmackDown he impressed to much that WWE wanted to use him as the face for the Indian market. He now is a former WWE Champion and former United States Champion. Heath Slater is now teaming with Rhyno and became the first ever SmackDown Tag Team Champion. Currently he is workin on the RAW brand, where he got destroyed recently by....the returning Drew McIntyre.
Now as a heel and teamed with Dolph Ziggler he is out to right the wrong of his first Tag Team endeavour by becoming a RAW Tag Team Champion.

Future World Champion?

Right now Drew McIntyre is portrayed as a powerful force just waiting to be unleashed.
Should WWE have gone with another route? In my opinion yes! His comeback story has been perfect until his main roster call-up. I believe a babyface redemption storyline would have been amazing for him. A meaningful interaction with both Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal would have done wonders.
I don't know why he is teaming with Dolph Ziggler. Let's just hope this turns out well. But, to be honest, Dolph Ziggler is holding him back and sooner than later the Scotsman will put DZ to rest on his quest for bigger an better things.
The Intercontinental Title, currently held by Seth Rollins, should be Drew's next goal. Again righting a wrong. And after that the holy grail should be in reach: The Universal Championship.
Let's face it: Drew has got it all. The Look. The Skill and the Story. Awake the force inside him and future shock the business with his claymore sword.
He is going to make it anyway, with or without WWE and therefore WWE should give him what he deserves: The throne.
