The Revival of Impact Wrestling

I think most of you heard of Impact Wrestling, formely known as TNA. The company faced a lot of tough challenges in the past, avoiding bankruptcy numerous times and making incredibly bad booking descision. But for the first time in a decade Impact Wrestling is on a good side again, in fact it is actually MUST SEE sometimes. Especially since their incredible Slammiversary XVI event earlier this year. Here is anything you need to know about the new life in Impact Wrestling.

Why is there new life?

When Panda Energy sold Impact to Anthem they put Jeff Jarrett, Dutch Mantel and Bruce Prichard in the key position, something that did not work and the product faced the same troubles as always. In came a call from Anthem/Fight Network Executive Leonard Asper contacted his friend Chris Jericho if he'd know what to do. And Jericho adviced to give Don Callis a call if he wanted Impact to go up. So Fight/Anthem did and since Don Callis joined the company everything went better. The new team with Sonjay Dutt, Callis and Scott D’Amore has put Impact on the map again. The mixture of passion and professionalism and will to make it work has resulted in a very entertaining product again.

Who are the champions?

Impact World Champion: Austin Aries

He is playing as the heel-champion of the company. He is doing a great job of making people believe in his character and fans are just waiting to see him get pinned for good, but so far he seems unstoppable.

X-Division Champion: Brian Cage

This quick powerhouse is Impact's pet project. On his way to become a World Champion, we definitely have not heard the last of Cage.

Impact Tag Team Champions: LAX (Santana and Oritz w/ Konnan)

By far the best thing going in Impact today. The New Lax is currently feuding against the Old Lax (rebranded as the OGz) Homicide and Hernandez. Their match at Slammiversary? Already a classic.

Impact Knockouts Champion: Su Yung

Su Yung is currently the Women's Champion in Impact. She is a more complacted gimmick, but with the injured Rosemary and Madison Rayne out of the company, Yung is having a lack of opponents to face. The Knockouts are Impact's building lot but they are already working on rebuilding the division with new arrivals.

Other talking points:

Sami Callihan and oVe:
Callihan and his "Ohio versus Everything" Stable are one of the top draws of Impact. Eversince Sami accidentaly smashed the orbital bone of one Eddie Edwards with a metal baseball bat, he has been killing it as a careless heel in the ring. He is the highlight of every episode he's on.

Where do I find Impact these days?

Impact Wrestling is airing on POP TV in the USA, every Thursday at 8 PM.
Other outlets include the last episodes for free on https://ranfighting.de/wrestling and https://www.twitch.tv/impactwrestling?ttid=ec708df3c4 got additional footage like houseshow matches and hightlights from the past.
They also have their own Network with the "Global Wrestling Network" with everything from TNA and Impact Wrestling, aswell as Global Force Wrestling.

Is Impact still touring?

Yes! For example Impact is coming to the UK on September 8th and 9th in Manchester for their "Impact vs. THE UK" show as part of the Wrestling Media Con.
