WWE SummerSlam 2018: My Thoughts & Results

There are my personal thought on WWE SummerSlam 2018 from last night. Mixed thoughts and a new colour-rating.

 Legend:
■ Bad■ Neutral■ Good

Kickoff:

1. Andrade "Cien" Almas & Zelina Vega def. Rusev & LanaAnd badly worked match. Not worhy of the 2nd grandest stage of the year. Feeling bad for Rusev and Almas, who both stood tall in the first half of 2018, climbing the ranks to superstardom.

2. Cedric Alexander(c) vs. Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship
Very well worked match, although it was another roll-up victory, which was botched midway through. But other than that, i want more of Gulak vs. Alexander and i want Gulak to win the title. Applause!

3. The B Team(c) def. The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Championship
Right from the start Revival went into full Revival-Mode for the first time in months. They cut the ring in half and destroyed Curtis Axel right from the get-go with a Shatter Machine. Revival dominated 90% of the match, before another roll-up ended this match in favour of the B-Team.

Main-Show:

4. Seth Rollins def. Dolph Ziggler(c) for the Intercontinental Title (Titlechange)
The match of the night lit the crowd wild right from the start. Wondeful, could have not been better. Achieved everything it should have achieved and more. Going to watch this one again right after i have finished the article.

5. The New Day def. The Bludgeon Brothers(c) for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship via DQ
Match started out to be good, but the DQ finish and the fact that this feud continues killed every good feeling you could have had.

6. Braun Strowman def. Kevin Owens and keeps his briefcase
Strowman remained Mr. Money in the Bank after a necessary squash. Everything else would not have been right. Well done WWE.

7. Charlotte Flair def. Becky Lynch and Carmella(c) for the SmackDown Women's Championship (Titlechange)
The match needed 10 minutes to kick into the next gear. Of course Charlotte Flair won the title again, but Becky Lynch finally turned heel to a huge ovation of the crowd. Charlotte Flair got everything she deserved last night. Go Becky!

8. Samoa Joe def. AJ Styles(c) for the WWE Championship via DQ
Another cracking match. If delivered until the end, because a hot-heard AJ Styles grabbed the steel chair and attacked Samoa Joe when Joe went after Style's family. Looking forward to their next match. This could be a great feud, this kick-off to it was fantastic.

9. The Miz def. Daniel Bryan
The match itself was flawless. Alongside Rollins vs. Ziggler and Joe vs. AJ the best match of the night. Miz recieved brass-knuckles from Maryse and stole the victory. This one ain't over yet. Will it ever be?

10. Finn Balor def. Baron Corbin
Expected to be, by far, the most boring match on the card, Finn Balor turned everything around when "The Demon" arrived. In full gear he made Brooklyn become unglued. Corbin was shocked when he saw the face-painted Balor appear in the mist. The Demon made quick work out of the Constable.

11. Shinsuke Nakamura(c) def. Jeff Hardy for the United States Title
A good fine match with a necessary victory for Shinsuke Nakamura and no interference.

12. Ronda Rousey def. Alexa Bliss(c) for the RAW Women's Title (Titlechange)
It started with a huge ovation for Natalya, who was honoring her late great father Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart by wearing his jacket to the ring. The match that followed was on of the best squashes in WWE history. Rousey 'killed' Bliss.

13. Roman Reigns def. Brock Lesnar(c) for the Universal Title (Titlechange)
Braun Strowman came in and declared he would face the winner of that upcoming match right after the finish. Lesnar layed Strowman out with ONE (yes only 1) F5 for the rest of the match and Reigns dominated Lesnar then. Roman won. Bruh.

Despite some flaws for the first time in months WWE was able to turn bad booking into gold on the Pay-Per-View. It was a good show and a lot of the matches will go down as great ones by the end of the year. A wonderful wrestling evening.
