Who will be replacing Roman Reigns at the top of WWE?

As the wrestling world was shaken by the tragic announcement of Roman Reigns battling Leukemia, the WWE sees itself without a Universal Champion and without a face on top the company.
Soon Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman are going to face off for the gold to determine a new champion, it is clear none of these man can carry the company on their shoulders alone. Brock is not a reliable man as he is also getting back into the UFC Octagon and Braun is far from being the kind of babyface Hulk Hogan, John Cena or Roman Reigns were.

Im very sure that we can all agree on the fact that, Roman Reigns should get the Universal Title Shot immediatly after his return, he actually must win it. That is the least he earned after beating cancer once again. But we do not know how long that will take and WWE needs a figurehead.  I personally would prefer a group effort. Even with John Cena helping out from time to time and it looks like the is the route WWE will be going for and they have to, because not even them could create a superstar like this over night. This actually forces WWE into a never before seen shift in creative direction.
Of course we remember the Stone Cold injury incident but back then WWE had full time mega stars of The Rock and Triple H just taking over for a year only for Stone Cold to return then. This time WWE has not such a thing. They have older part timers like The Undertaker, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Batista and maybe even The Rock. But it is 2018 and they dont give you the crazy ratings boost anymore, as recent ratings for RAW and SmackDown have shown. Not even the chairman himself Vince McMahon can help ratings these days it seems, because the ratings for SmackDown 1000 were not that great either, not even with the Evolution group in full force being there. Even if WWE would actually do the unthinkable and call in Hulk Hogan, he is body can keep up anymore. So they remaining stars need to get into the next gear and become globaly known. But your current WWE Champion AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, former Universal Champion Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins. They are aging. They are not that young anymore. WWE has to go with the crop of people to make the train go now. But if Roman Reigns needs more time or might not even come back at call (and i really really hope he does come back stronger than ever) WWE has a problem. Not doing anything with called up NXT Stars is coming back to haunt them. The mistake of going all in with one star and feeding the rest off to him is just wrong these days. After around 40 years, the wake-up call is here.
To WWE's luck the roster has never been stronger. Everyone is great at wrestling, most of the talent can cut promos and they most of them have star appeal. But WWE's creative team is not really taking advantage of that. It looks like right now, they have to.
With Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, Sami Zayn and other potential assests out with an injury, this situation calls for some new names. Test Elias in a bigger role, test Apollo Crews, what about Mojo Rawley? Tyler Breeze? Cesaro is waiting! Give everything that is getting over a chance! RAW is 3 hours, SmackDown is two, PPVs run for ages, there is also Main Event and 205live. Fill your TV-time with some experiments. This is the time and the chance. The talent is waiting, open the doors to the arena. Also call up guys from NXT. Push Andrade Cien Almas while Shinsuke Nakamura is taking on all covers to test new talent, make him the guy to go to test guys for further development.
I call for stable wars: Sanity vs. Undisputed Era 2.0, but this time in SmackDown! Give Adam Cole that match with Shawn Michaels, if the guy is already back from retirement anyway. Ricochet and Pete Dunne gladley would help out to keep people in awe as you build up on roster full of mega stars while they are distracted.
FOX is knocking on your door and they want big ratings. Now is the time to prepare yourself WWE, for everything that is coming in late 2019. Tomassio Ciampa, Johny Gargano and Aleister Black are the guys to watch out for when it comes to leave people shocked and in the extreme desire more.

And finally there is, probably, WWE's strongest and biggest star waiting to rule over the business: Drew McIntyre. Strap a rocket to that man. He is the favourite to win next years Royal Rumble for sure. The Scottish Psychopath is ready to strike. He has got it all and now is the time.

So the answer to the question: Who will be replacing Roman Reigns at the top of WWE?
The is no one who can right away, but all together NOW is not just an old RAW theme song name, it is the motto WWE should have in these challenging times.
And last, but certainly not least, don't forget about The Revival.
